Julie entered the car business in 1990 as a sales associate with Chevrolet
and then Ford Motor Company. In 1996, Julie joined the #1 Lincoln retailer
in the country, North Park Lincoln Mercury, where she served in a variety of
positions during her 14 year tenure, including Director of Finance, Leasing
Manager, New Car Sales Manager and Used Vehicle Director. While
working full-time, Julie attended college and graduated Magna Cum Laude
from The University of the Incarnate Word, earning a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Psychology of Organizations.

Julie was then promoted to her new role of General Sales Manager at
North Park Toyota, and quickly established this new point as the area’s
new car sales leader in Toyota volume in 2010 and 2011. After completing
17 years with the North Park Group, Julie left to pursue new learning
opportunities in the automotive industry, specifically Fixed Operations.
In March 2012, Julie joined Cavender Toyota as the Service and Parts
Director. She was responsible for a number of innovations, including
establishing a full-service BDC, an Express Maintenance Shop, an
Advanced Maintenance Shop, concierge vehicle delivery process, tablet-
based service write-up process with electronic multi-point inspection,
paperless transaction, complimentary quick-check alignment analysis, and
a customer waiting room renovation. Under her leadership, Cavender
Toyota reached the Top 10 in Gulf States Toyota and was recognized as
winner of the Customer First Advisory Board.

From June 2015 to September 2016, Julie was the General Manager of
Cavender Audi of San Antonio. She led the Sales and Service teams to
record market share performance levels.
In October of 2016, Gulf States Toyota named Julie Herrera Dealer
Principal and Managing Partner of a new point, Toyota of Cedar Park. The
dealership opened its doors in May 2017 and is currently (Aug. 2020)
ranked #22 in the Nation. In addition, Toyota of Cedar Park was just
awarded Toyota‘s top honor, The President’s Cabinet Award, which is
given to the nation’s top 12 dealers for sales volume & customer
excellence.

Julie serves on the Gulf States Toyota Dealer Council, Dealer Advertising
Council and is on the board of the Toyota/Lexus Minority Owners
Dealership Association.
